Introduced in the early 1950s, the Rolex reference 6034 was one of the first chronographs in the 6000 series and is often called the Pre-Daytona. It is a direct precursor of the 6234 and 6238, which led to the Daytona, and the word Antimagnetic appears on its dial. The watch is powered by the manual-wind Valjoux 72 calibre. The 6034 was made in stainless steel as well as in gold, with the gold versions considerably rarer.
