In 1996 Audemars Piguet took the most complicated Royal Oak of its day and removed most of the dial. The result, reference 25829, is a perpetual calendar with nothing to hide: through a transparent sapphire dial, the movement and the day, date, month, leap-year and moon-phase indications all sit in plain view. This example is cased in platinum with its matching platinum bracelet, and it keeps the 39 mm proportions of the original Royal Oak Jumbo at only 9.3 mm thick. The calendar needs no manual correction until 2100. Platinum was the metal of the very first 25829 in 1996, and only 156 examples were made in it across the reference's seventeen-year production run, against 371 in steel. The watch is in great condition. A rare opportunity to own the openworked Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar in its most noble metal.
