Patek Philippe Ref 3970/2 in Pink Gold, Circa 1990

Produced from 1986 to 2004, the Patek Philippe ref. 3970 is one of the manufacture's most celebrated grand complications: a perpetual calendar chronograph with moon phase. Its 36mm case houses the manually wound calibre CH 27-70 Q, displaying day, date, month, leap year, moon phase and a 24-hour indicator alongside the chronograph. This example, from around 1990, is crafted in 18k pink gold. Balanced, readable and historically significant, the 3970 remains a benchmark reference for collectors of Patek Philippe complications.
